 At Awakened to Freedom, we believe that true healing begins when individuals are provided with the foundational resources necessary to stabilize their lives. By addressing immediate needs such as housing, employment, and other basic essentials, we move individuals out of survival mode and into a space where they can begin to see the fullness of the life God has planned for them. We partner with other organizations to ensure that individuals have the tools to meet these needs, which serves as the essential first step in their journey toward lasting recovery and restoration. Through this phase, we help our clients transition from existing to thriving, setting the stage for the transformative work God is ready to do in their lives. 

Approximately 50% of individuals suffering from mental health conditions—such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other significant personality-based disorders—also struggle with substance use disorder. This close link underscores the urgent need for comprehensive care that addresses both aspects simultaneously. In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on dual-diagnosis protocols aimed at treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders effectively.

At Awakened to Freedom, we believe that addressing these challenges from a spiritual and holistic perspective is essential for long-term recovery and successful reintegration into society.

This phase of our program operates through a twofold approach:

1. Spiritual Counseling: We provide counseling that seeks to uncover and heal the root causes of mental and emotional struggles, such as trauma. With a faith-centered framework, we guide individuals toward the transformative healing available through God’s love and grace.
2. Coaching for Future Challenges: We equip individuals with practical tools and strategies to navigate the obstacles they may encounter as they move forward in their journey. Coaching focuses on building resilience, fostering healthy decision-making, and empowering them to thrive in every aspect of life.

By addressing trauma and mental health issues through a long-term, spiritually guided approach, we aim to provide individuals with the support they need to experience deep healing and restoration, empowering them to reclaim their lives and walk in the freedom and purpose God has for them.

The third phase of our program focuses on empowering individuals to step into the unique vision God has placed on their lives. By partnering with Citipointe Cleveland and other local organizations, we work to identify each person’s calling and provide the tools and opportunities necessary to walk in that purpose.

We believe that every individual has a divine purpose, and our goal is to connect them with the resources, mentors, and pathways that will help them fulfill it. Whether the path leads to ministry, vocational work, or other personal aspirations, this phase is tailored to the specific needs and goals of each participant.

1. Ministry and Spiritual Growth: For those called to ministry, we facilitate access to programs like the Citipointe School of Ministry, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual foundation needed to serve others in alignment with God’s plan.
2. Vocational Development: For individuals seeking vocational paths, we collaborate with local businesses, trade programs, and colleges to provide hands-on training, education, and job opportunities.
3. Continued Coaching: Throughout this phase, participants continue receiving coaching and guidance to ensure they are fully supported as they step into new roles and responsibilities. This includes mentorship, goal-setting, and encouragement as they pursue their God-given potential.

By creating meaningful connections and providing opportunities for growth, this phase aims to transform lives and communities. It bridges the gap between recovery and restoration, enabling individuals to walk confidently in the freedom and purpose that God has prepared for them.
